To avail the benefits of scheme, BSNL users need to log onto BSNL Mobile Safe Care Portal and fill-in his personal details. In the online form, one would be asked to specify the four numbers who would share the internet data with him.
This scheme is set to boost internet
usage in India. The number of BSNL card holders are also expected to
rise. With the extraordinarily cheap internet package, BSNL is likely to
give competition to private players who have snatched a major share of
the telecom market.
According to BSNL General Manager Ram
Shabd Yadav, this scheme would end up benefitting people from lower
economic strata who are not able to afford mobile internet services. It
is part of government’s agenda to push achieve 100 per cent internet
access in the nation. The scheme would readily be availed by urban
families as one internet package would be sufficient for all the users.
